IACC Mentoring Program sponsored by Grant Thornton

The IACC launched a mentoring program in early 2012. This was the first such program within the Irish Australian business community and remains the only major national program of its type. The aim of the program was to pair young professional members looking to further their careers with senior business people who were willing to share their knowledge and provide guidance and encouragement. The program was extremely well received and we found ourselves with many more participants than we had imagined.

Building on the success of the pilot initiative, we are now inviting expressions of interest for the next intake of the program, presented in association with Grant Thornton, which will run through 2013. This will allow us more time to screen applicants ensuring that the most appropriate pairings are made and increasing the prospects of successful outcomes.

We want to hear from:

Young or mid-level professionals looking for:

  • Career guidance
  • An understanding of how business works in Australia
  • Impartial business advice from someone with your best interests at heart

Senior business people interested in:

  • Helping develop talented individuals within the Irish Australian Chamber network
  • Sharing knowledge and expertise with younger peers

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from potential mentors and mentees. Mentees must be current IACC members while we welcome Mentors from across communities.
